What exactly will I get after taking counselling from Best Career Counselling?

The aim is not just to give you a report. You should leave with a better understanding of yourself, more clarity about your career options and a clearer idea of what you should do next.

Will I get one fixed career recommendation or will I have different options?

It depends on your profile. The assessment can point towards different career paths with different levels of suitability. We discuss these options with you rather than expecting one career to be right for everyone.

Can parents be part of the counselling process?

Yes. Parents can be involved in the process, especially when the career decision is being discussed as a family. We make sure the student's interests, abilities and aspirations are also properly understood.

Can I take counselling even if I have already shortlisted my career, course or colleges?

Yes. You do not have to start from zero. If you already have a career, course or college shortlist, we can help you review your thinking, clear your doubts and make a more confident decision.

Do you guarantee admission or guarantee that I will be successful in a particular career?

No. We do not believe in making promises about something that depends on many factors. What we can do is help you understand your options, make an informed decision and support you through the relevant counselling or admission process.

Our story

Before career counselling

Kishan spent years in the education sector, watching bright students choose streams and colleges based on family pressure and guesswork rather than any real understanding of their own strengths.

The moment that started it

A conversation with a student who had aced Science but was miserable in it (chosen for him, not by him) became the turning point that led Kishan to train formally in psychometric assessment and career counselling.

Why Surat

Surat's fast-growing student population had access to coaching for exams, but almost no one guiding families through the decision itself. That gap is what the practice was built to fill.

Meeta Patel

Career Counsellor

Specialises in working with parents and students together, particularly around stream selection after Class 10.

Certified with the Edumilestones psychometric framework.

Meeta joined the practice to focus on the conversations that get skipped: the ones between parents and children who each have a different idea of what "the right choice" looks like. She helps both sides get heard before a decision gets made.

Our journey has grown from decades of experience in education, training and student development, evolving into a wider guidance ecosystem for students and families.

1992–1995
The Beginning in Education & Technology
Kishan Patel begins his professional journey with Best Computers, Gujarat, working in the education and computer-training space and building an early foundation in technology-led learning.
1995–2001 · Aptech Computer Education
From Training to Vocational Education
His work expands into career-oriented training and vocational education, including his association with Aptech Computer Education and involvement in vocational education initiatives through Rotary. He also takes on leadership roles focused on vocational education and student development.
2000–2008
Deepening the Focus on Students & Learning
Kishan's work during this period is closely associated with Aptech Computer Education, where he continues developing his experience in student development, professional training and education. In 2000–01, he also trains students of Indian origin in the USA on VIPS: Values, Interest, Personality & Skills, bringing a strong focus on understanding the individual beyond academics.
2009–2021
Expanding Education & Training Leadership
Kishan continues to build his experience across educational and training organisations, including Arena Animation and ZICA (Zee Institute of Creative Art), where he serves as Centre Head and Business Development Manager. His work continues to span student development, institutional management, training and educational programmes, strengthening the experience that would eventually lead into Best Career Counselling.

Best Career Counselling begins its journey, bringing together years of experience in education, training and student development with a focused purpose, helping students and families make better-informed career decisions.
2018
Meeta Patel Joins the Journey
Meeta Patel joins Best Career Counselling and begins her journey as a career counsellor. Over the years, she becomes the emotional anchor of the counselling process, building trust with students and parents, listening deeply, and helping students understand their strengths, interests, challenges and aspirations.

Growing the Counselling Journey
Best Career Counselling continues to grow through its work with students and families, helping them understand themselves, explore possibilities and make informed decisions about education and careers. Expanding into Admissions
Our work expands beyond career counselling into admissions counselling and education consulting, alongside growing relationships with colleges and universities.

After months of preparation, marketing and relationship-building with educational institutions, we hosted our first Admission Expo, focused on MBA admissions. It marked a new chapter: bringing MBA aspirants, families and participating colleges and universities together on one platform.

Building on the success of our first MBA Admission Expo, we brought together MBA aspirants, parents and leading colleges and universities on a larger platform. The expo gave students the opportunity to meet institutions directly, understand programmes and specialisations, explore admission options and make more informed decisions about their MBA journey.

UG Admission Expo
Taking our admissions initiative to the undergraduate level, we brought together students, parents and participating colleges and universities under one platform. The expo helped students explore courses, understand their options, interact directly with institutions and gain greater clarity before making an important higher-education decision.

Specialised College Events
We continued our institutional engagement through focused events with leading educational institutions, including Masters' Union, Imperial School of Banking & Management Studies, Pune, and Universal AI University, Karjat. These focused events allowed students to engage more directly with institutions, understand their programmes and get closer to making an informed admission decision.
